Wakefern Food Corp. banner ShopRite is trying to make it even easier for customers to shop for products that align with their health and wellness needs.
In a Jan. 25 press release, the Keasbey-based grocery chain announced the launch of new dietary lifestyle filters on its website that allow shoppers to search for items and recipes to fit a variety of specialized diets, such as dairy-free, vegan, kosher, vegetarian, organic, gluten-free, diabetes-friendly, low-sodium, low-sugar and keto-friendly.
With nearly half of shoppers ordering their groceries online, the retailer has been taking steps to integrate its health and wellness programming into the digital space, according to ShopRite.

As part of its Well Everyday initiative, ShopRite seeks to help customers make better food choices and take small steps toward achieving nutrition goals, offering support in stores, as well as online.
Since 2006, ShopRite registered dietitians have provided customers with meal inspiration suggestions based on dietary needs and, at select stores, one-on-one coaching. Well Everyday’s virtual presence includes cooking classes, private consultations, a chat feature and social media outreach.
Natalie Menza Crowe, director of marketing and wellness at ShopRite, said, “We are proud to unveil new features on our website to help better serve our customers and make it easier for them to achieve their health and wellness goals.”
“Whether customers are looking to make a lifestyle change or find convenient ways to shop for their needs, our registered dietitians are a valuable resource to help them live well. We look forward to continuing to serve our communities and provide convenient, on-trend solutions and inspiration,” she said.
